«Чудеса Вселенной: популярный труд о чудесах неба, земли, растительной жизни, жизни животных, могучей глубины» издавался как периодическое издание 1911–1912 годов в 24 двухнедельных частях. Каждая часть серийного издания содержала четыре полностраничных цветных иллюстрации, «замечательных по своей красоте и точности, а также множество превосходных черно-белых изображений, большинство из которых взяты с фотографий», как отмечал журнал Nature за ноябрь 1911 года. Авторы являются высококвалифицированными авторитетами в предметах, за которые они брались, и то, что они написали, соответствует истиине. Выбор тем был полностью обусловлен тем, что может привлечь внимание ненаучного широкого читателя, в результате чего вместо упорядоченного введения в науку мы имеем серию кратких ярких обзоров некоторых чудес природы, выстроенные не в логической последовательности, а имеющие характер научного альбома для вырезок…
